How to Make Your Home Cozy for Fall | PART 3
One of my favorite things about fall is waking up when the weather has turned and smelling the crispness in the air. You know what I mean? The smells of cold and nature and pumpkin patches and apple orchards makes me want to curl up with a cozy blanket and watch movies!
Unfortunately, it’s not always easy to bring pleasant outside smells in without also bringing in some less than pleasant smells and sounds - car exhaust, horns blaring, dogs barking..
One of the simplest ways to make your house feel cozy is to find a scent that matches how you want to feel! This can be as a candle, oil diffusers, wax warmers, or even a plug-in!
Aim to match the scent with the mood you’re trying to create. When you’re doing your weekend deep cleaning and sheet changing, maybe a crisp apple scented candle will do the trick! Or if it’s date night at home and you’re trying to create a romantic vibe, something moodier like a mahogany or vanilla scent is more your speed.
Scents are so unique to everyone, so you can take your time find picking scents that you really love, and invoke the thoughts and feelings you want in your space. I’ve linked a few of my favorite options below, and would love to hear from you about your favorite brands and scents too!
- two extra large sizes (150-300 oz)
- sample packs available
- incredible burn times; a bit of an investment up front, but is also the best bang for your buck!
- yummy scents and budget friendly
- you can often find them at Home Goods
- The Peony + Blush Suede is amazing
- The Capri Blue scent is always a classic
- Spiced Cider is also a goodie for the Fall and Winter seasons!
